We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every customer and supporter who contributed to our 2025 Birthday Raffle. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we are proud to announce that $50,000 has been raised for the Clifford Craig Foundation.

These funds will make a meaningful and lasting impact, going directly towards much-needed equipment for the Children’s Ward at Launceston General Hospital (LGH). This support will help ensure local children and their families receive the very best care during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Every raffle ticket purchased, every post shared, and every word of encouragement helped make this achievement possible. The level of community support once again highlights what can be achieved when people come together for a cause that truly matters.

How the Funds Will Be Used

The Clifford Craig Foundation has provided an update on how this year’s donation will be put to work:

Improving care for the tiniest patients begins with giving clinicians access to the very best training tools. Thanks to the $50,000 donation raised by Richardson’s Harley-Davidson, Women’s and Children’s Services at LGH will now be equipped with Baby Emma and Baby Emily — full-term newborn simulation mannequins designed to significantly enhance staff training and preparedness.

These high-fidelity mannequins allow teams in the Special Care Nursery to practise modern, evidence-based care, including neonatal resuscitation, respiratory support, and infection control. Simulation training is proven to strengthen clinical judgement, decision-making, and confidence, particularly in high-risk neonatal scenarios, while providing a safe, risk-free environment to practise rare or complex procedures.

This vital equipment has been made possible through the incredible efforts of the Richardson’s Harley-Davidson team and the wider community, who raised the funds through their annual charity raffle. The donation supports essential equipment for Women’s and Children’s Services that sit outside government funding.

The Clifford Craig Foundation has extended its sincere thanks to everyone involved, acknowledging that this contribution will help ensure the highest standard of care for newborn babies and their families across Northern Tasmania.

We are incredibly proud to support such an important cause and grateful to everyone who helped make this achievement possible. Together, you’ve made a real difference.
