Richardson’s Harley-Davidson & The House of Motorcycles is an independently owned and operated motorcycle sales business located in Launceston.

Richardson's Harley-Davidson are looking for motivated and enthusiastic experienced Motorcycle Mechanics to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. With high attention to detail, must be able to diagnose, repair and complete jobs within a timely manner.

About the Role

Motorcycle Mechanic is responsible for;

  • detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
  • dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
  • repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
  • performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
  • reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
  • testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
  • diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
  • may inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness

About You

Skills and Experience Required;

  • At least 3 years of on the job training / relevant experience in a similar role
  • Well presented, well organised and have a passion for all things mechanical
  • Must be willing and able to work on a variety of motorcycles including Harley Davidson
  • Consolidated use of computers, tools and equipment to service motorcycles
  • Advanced communication skills to liaise with customers, manufacturers and internal departments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and safety
  • Reliable, honest and punctual

The position is fulltime and must be willing to work extra time when needed. Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment.

Salary: $54,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year - Salary negotiable for the right applicant depending on qualification, skills and experience.

Builder with at least 10 years’ experience in the industry  

Tas Global & the Richardson's Harley-Davidson Group of companies are looking for a versatile Builder, preferably with contractor’s license to join our team. 

About You

The successful person would have experience of the following.

  • Be a qualified builder with 10+ years experience in the industry
  • Experience in residential building and renovations
  • Warehouse/Commercial construction
  • Preparation for concrete slabs and house set outs
  • Read plans and have the ability to determine quantities of products for placing orders
  • Have the ability to interact with suppliers and other contractors that may be required.
  • Have own tools and work Ute (however a work vehicle and fuel card could be a plus for the right person)
  • Have a sound knowledge of general building of all types
  • Kitchen installations, fit outs, etc
  • Be prepared to use some recycled materials

And have:

  • Current drivers’ licence
  • Light truck licence (not essential but an advantage)

The applicant will be able to operate machinery e.g., rollers, excavators’ vibrators etc (however this skill is not essential but an advantage)

Must be able to think for themselves, be a team player and work unsupervised, and work alongside our Civil manager when required. The applicant must also be honest, motivated, and reliable with references including verbal from clients you have done builds for.

38 hours per week with some additional hour if required with an annual salary of between $65,000 to $75,000 depending on skill.

About You

The successful person would have experience and some understanding of the following, which would be an advantage for this position but not essential;

Experience in sub-division site works;

  • Storm Water Drains
  • Sewer
  • Water
  • NBN instillations
  • Kerbs
  • Footpath & road preparation.

Excavator & front-end loader experience would be an advantage for this position.
