The Harley-Davidson XR1200 is a distinctive sport-oriented motorcycle that blends classic American styling with performance-focused engineering. Introduced in 2008 and inspired by Harley’s flat-track racing heritage, particularly the XR750, it stands out from traditional cruisers with its aggressive stance and road-focused design.
Powered by a 1202cc air-cooled V-twin Evolution engine, the XR1200 produces around 90 horsepower and strong low-end torque, delivering responsive acceleration and a throaty exhaust note.
Harley-Davidson equipped the bike with features uncommon for its line-up at the time, including inverted front forks, dual front disc brakes, and a more upright, sporty riding position.
Weighing over 250 kg, it is relatively heavy but offers solid stability and handling for a standard bike. Although discontinued in 2013, the XR1200 remains a cult favourite among riders seeking a unique blend of retro aesthetics and sporty performance.
